First: Apologies for any confusion on our part. Please know that on every perk there is a line in the description that reads "Please ADD for shipping". The reason the shipping is not a set amount, or baked into the price, is because the shipping cost may depend on the quantity, product type, and any possible additional items added to the pledge. We have also communicated this in the infographics at the end of the Kickstarter page, as well as in weekly updates.
After the Kickstarter campaign was over we used a service called BackerKit, which manages pledges. Backerkit check whether each user pledged enough funds to cover the cost of the reward they want, recalculates the shipping costs and checks wheter they can add additional items to their pledge. It also allows to add the funds missing, in case users forgot to pay for shipping costs or made mistakes.
Some packages sold out during the campaign, as they were of limited quantity. That is why it is not possible to add any additional quantity of them in the pledge manager. Other packages were not possible to add to the pledge manager due to their nature, as they were bundles containing multiple products with multiple variants, (like keyboard layouts multiplied by power supply plug types). We could not insert this enormous amount of bundles in the pledge manager, it would have been a nightmare for the users to scroll through. Instead, we split the bundles.
Example: If you wanted a bundle that originally contained a keyboard + a case + a power supply, you have to purchase a case + power supply bundle, select the plug type for that power supply, then add a separate keyboard to it, and select the switch type for that keyboard.
